Sadly we announce our beloved Bill's passing at St. Mary's of the Lake on October 12th with family by his side. Loving spouse and best friend of Mary Ellen Bulger for the past 12 years. Son of the late William J. Bernardi (1994) and Catherine (Brough) Bernardi (2007). Father of John of Ottawa, Jacquie (Brett) of Calgary and Brian (Caitlin) of Kingston.

Loved Nonno of Sawyer and Anastasia of Calgary. Dear brother of Angela of Guelph; David (Val)of Edmonton; Catherine of Guelph and Andrew (Judy) of Moorefield and the late Anthony (1994) and Janet (1955)

Bill will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, the many friends he made throughout his 34 year military career, his 8 years at the CACC in Kingston, by all of Mary Ellen's siblings – Carla & Andy Rogers, John & Colleen Bulger and Kevin Bulger and their children and by all our dear friends who have been so supportive throughout his journey.

Bill joined the Reserve 11th Field Royal Canadian Artillery Regiment in Guelph, ON in 1967 and in 1971 joined the regular force as a Communications Research Technician serving in postings in Gloucester, Inuvik x2, NSGA Florida US Navy, Masset, B.C., Gander, Nfld, 2EW Squadron, First Canadian Signals Regiment, Reserve EW, NATO, Casteau, Belgium and CFSCE Kingston where he retired in 2001.

We want to thank Dr. Kankesan, Dr. Levesque and Drs. Viola, Goldie, Harle and all the Cancer Centre staff, Drs. Connidis and Kondor and their Community Palliative Care Team, Rachel of CCAC, St. Elizabeth nurses Sophie, Marg & Krista & all the PSW'S who attended and gave Bill such good care, especially David.
